We are a growing group of folks who share common interests in the culture of Ireland, past and present. We gather at local establishments, enjoy the talents of the area musicians, and spread the culture of Ireland by being active in our community.

 

Happy Birthday IIV! Come celebrate on Aug 31!

 

 

Last year at this time, a small group of folks got together and decided it was time to bring some old-time Irish fun to Hampton Roads and Irish in Virginia was born! We did not become an official “club” until January, but we were born in the wee Oasis pub. We have grown tremendously in the year supporting festivals, throwing hooleys and supporting local Irish friendly venues throughout Hampton Roads.  Come celebrate the birthday with some goodies and cake Tuesday, August 31, at the Oasis on N Great Neck from 7 pm.

A full range of entertainers are on tap to film that night, so come see your favorite Irish singer. Cindy Kays, Martin Marron, Micheal Finn, and more!

 

Sept 10th is the first gathering of the year and we will have a mix of traditional music and karaoke madness! It’s fall and we are ready to start a new season!

 

Murphy’s Irish Festival is September 18th at the pub.

 

We are partnering with the Richmond Irish American Society to present the Celtic Heritage Village with the Green Oak Pub and need volunteers and supporters to make this a great day for the Irish!!  

 

Start getting your costumes ready for the Oct 29th Halloween party!
